We appreciate your willingness to help!

At Merseyside Lowland Search and Rescue, we are proud to have a team of dedicated volunteers who are committed to saving lives and making a positive impact in our community. Without the support of people like you, our organisation would not be able to function. However, as our team grows and we continue to expand our services, the costs associated with providing this life-saving service also increase.

As a non-profit organisation that receives no government funding, we rely solely on the generosity of donors and fundraising efforts to cover the expenses necessary to keep our operations running. This can be a significant financial burden, which is why we are always grateful for any donations or support that can help us provide essential services to those in need.

By contributing to Merseyside Lowland Search and Rescue, you are not only helping to ensure that our team has the necessary resources to continue saving lives, but you are also investing in the well-being of our community. We thank you for your continued support and dedication to our cause.

Our expenses include:

  • Insurances: We require several types of insurance to ensure that we are protected in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
  • Fuel: Our team needs to travel to various locations to provide our services, and fuel costs can be a significant expense.
  • Tunnel Fees: In some cases, we may need to use the Mersey Tunnels to reach the location. This incurs a cost that we need to cover.
  • Vehicle Tax: Our vehicles must be taxed and registered, which is an ongoing expense that we need to account for.
  • Maintenance of equipment & control vehicles: Our equipment and vehicles must be maintained to ensure that they are in optimal working condition at all times.
  • Accounting/Compliance: As a non-profit organisation, we must comply with various financial and accounting regulations, which incurs additional costs.
  • Training: Our team requires regular training to ensure that we are prepared to handle any situation that may arise.
  • Undertaking of searches: This is the most important expense, as it is the core of our mission to provide life-saving services to those in need.

All of these expenses add up, which is why we rely on the support of our community to cover the costs necessary to keep our operations running. We are committed to being good stewards of every donation we receive, ensuring that it is used to provide the highest quality care and support to those who need it most.
